#4803 Moore Patent Firearms 32Teatfire pocket revolver, 8XXX serial range

Description

#4803 Moore Patent Firearms 32Teatfire pocket revolver, 8XXX serial range, full factory nickel finish and original ivory grips, engraved frame and straps. The Moore was one of the more popular “personal defense weapons” during the Civil War and one of the earliest self-contained cartridge revolvers. They are also one of the most successful evaders of the Rollin-White patent for the bored through cylinder being a 32-teatfire action, about 30,000 produced between 1864-1870. This very fine specimen retains about 85-90% of the original nickel finish, fine mellow aged ivories with just the usual age cracking but no chips or slivers of mention. Crisp mechanics. At least “Ex.Fine” condition. $1195
