#4823 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB, 44WCF, mfg 1886

Description

#4823 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB, 44WCF with G-VG bore (about a 6 on a scale of 10, having some medium wear and scale, but still looking like it would spin a bullet quite well) and has a smooth action. Serial numbered in the 205XXX range (late 1886). The exterior of this rifle has a smooth mottled chocolate brown patina with some thin plum-blue mixed in around the sideplates and protected areas. It does have some very light rust and grime build-up and very minor light pitting in a few areas, but the metal overall is otherwise crisp-edged and devoid of any serious damage or blemishes. The buttstock and forearm are well above average with no serious chips or slivers. However the butt does have a small crack behind the rear of the top tang and comb area (see photos) . Standard semi-buckhorn rear sight and Rocky Mountain front (which has a replaced blade insert). Nothing rare or wonderful, but this is a decent original 130 year old Winnie in slightly better-than-average condition. About VG as described. $2095

Price: $2,095.00
