#4879 Colt 1860 Army (AKA, “Holster Pistol”), 44caliber, 63XXX (mid 1863)

Description

#4879 Colt 1860 Army (AKA, “Holster Pistol”), 44caliber, 63XXX (mid 1863),matching except for the wedge …which, while numbered, is an incorrect number. Mottled grey-brown exterior with minimal light pitting, fine scene is about 80-90% intact, fair VG grips with fair cartouche on the one side. Bore is VG and the action is crisp and in good time. The one slight deficit to this otherwise WELL above average Army is that there is some “play” in the wedge-to-barrel junction and thus the gun seems “loose”, which in fact is not the case. If I manage to scrounge through my parts, I may find a wedge that fits tighter and if so, I’ll do a quick switch if the buyer so desires. Very decent Army. VG+ $2150

Price: $2,150.00
