#4901 Colt 1851 Navy revolver, 4th Variation, 164XXX (1863), VG bore

Description

#4901 Colt 1851 Navy revolver, 4th Variation, 164XXX (1863), VG bore with just the typical black-powder darkened grooves but strong rifling; fine tight action. Exterior with a smooth even 90% coverage of a 60% soft matte’ blue on the barrel and a blueish patina on the frame. About a 70% coverage -50% density blue and some light to medium bumps and dents on the cylinder; VG/VG+ markings and at least 70-80%+ cylinder scene visible, VG grips. Matching serial numbers. It is a very, VERY decent old Navy with a good solid action and a very nice Civil War era sidearm that was very likely privately purchased and carried into the War as most revolvers were at that time. $1950
