#346 Colt U.S. Single Action Army "Artillery", .45 Long Colt Caliber Center Fire revolver. Manufactured in 1874 in Hartford, Connecticut 6 shot with a 7½ inch barrel. This gun was shipped to U.S. Government Inspector located at the Colt plant. This is a silver gray gun no finish left on it. This gun was refurbishing and barrel shortened to 5 1/2 inch. Serial number on the frame is (11953), and on the trigger guard (120493) and on the backstrap (106). As a week barrel address inspector marks on the barrel's DFC with a decent bore comes with a second style ejector housing and a bull's-eye ejector head. Partial serial number on the cylinder with inspector marks (HN). Patent dates on the frame are weak half of the U. all of the S. In excellent working condition. Comes with one piece Walnut grips with no cartouche, and where across the bottom but still in good condition. I believe a couple of marks have been put back on this gun and some screws have been replaced. This is a low end artillery, but in very good condition. I checked with Colt they had no record of this gun.
